- September 2026: median cheapest OC offer was 653 zł in Poland and 856 zł in Wrocław (Rankomat). After a record-cheap July, prices are rising again.
- OC is compulsory from the date of registration — even if the car stays in a garage.
- For a passenger car without OC, UFG charges a fine of 1,920 to 9,610 zł in 2026.
- AC, assistance, personal accident and glass cover are optional — we match them to the car's value and age.
- The same OC can differ in price by hundreds of złoty between insurers.
What OC covers and what AC covers
OC covers damage you cause to others — their vehicles and health. AC protects your own car: at-fault collisions, theft, fire, hail, vandalism.
What affects the OC price
- Driver's age, experience and claims history.
- Place of residence (Wrocław is usually pricier than small towns).
- Make, engine size, year of manufacture.
- No-claims years — including abroad, if the insurer accepts the certificate.
Automatic OC renewal
An OC policy renews automatically for another year unless you cancel it. The renewal price is often higher than the new-customer price — so before it ends we compare prices and, if needed, help you cancel.
Bought a car with the previous owner's OC
The seller's policy passes to you until the end of its term. You can cancel it and buy your own — the insurer refunds the unused part. If you don't, it expires at the end of the term without renewal.
